Alma Metals’ best results to date at Briggs Copper Project

Miningcomau Sep 11th, 2024

Alma Metals Ltd- Gold Coast Investment Showcase 2024

Vertical Events & RIU Conferences Jun 21st, 2024

With his boots still dusty from a site visit, Frazer Tabeart, Managing Director of Alma Metals (ASX:ALM), covers the progress at the company’s flagship Briggs Copper Project in central Queensland.
With a new drilling crew on the ground, Alma has kicked off quite a significant infill program. The company already has a JORC-compliant inferred resource, and there’s evidence of a very large mineral system in the works meaning the current infill drilling will not only feed into a Scoping Study later in the year, but ideally see the compliant resource both upgraded in size, and moved higher in confidence from inferred to indicated.
“The whole project as it appears at the moment based on surface geochemistry indicates a mineralised system that's at least 2 kilometres-long, probably a kilometre wide,” Tabeart says.
“We've got drill intersections down to sort of 450, 500 metres vertical and we haven't really found the edges of it yet. So it's a very, very large system. So whilst this is infill drilling, it's infill within a resource that's certainly going to grow. We're very confident that we could potentially double or triple the size of the existing resource.”
